Monthly Local Mission Moment – Family Promise

Family Promise is a community-based response to families experiencing homelessness. They help families attain sustainable independence through provision of shelter, financial assistance, and case management. Families make up the fastest growing segment of the homeless population. Family Promise defines “family” as at least one child and one adult held together by bonds of love and commitment, and where the adult(s) have the responsibility for the care and nurturing of the child(ren). We believe every family has promise and every child deserves a home.
