Upcoming Highlights Include:
Christmas Lovefeast
A Lovefeast seeks to strengthen the bonds and the spirit of harmony, goodwill, and friendliness through the breaking of bread and the sipping of sweet coffee. Sunday, December 22nd at 10am we will have an opportunity for this koinonia experience.
Christmas Eve Service
Christmas Eve at 4:00pm we will celebrate with a Candlelight / Communion service. This is a great opportunity for you to invite your family and friends to a special Christmas Eve worship service.
Christmas For The City
Christmas for the City is a multi-church effort to create a meaningful Christmas experience for the whole community. The biggest need is simple: people who love people. This year the party is Dec. 21st from 1-6pm at the Benton Convention Center in Winston-Salem. We are joining many volunteers to serve the between 10 – 12,000 people who will attend this outreach. Youth Birdhouse Fundraiser
The youth have built birdhouses as a fundraiser. They are available for $25 each or 2 for $40. Please see Jessica if you would like to purchase one or more
Chicken Pies $15
The SonShine Servants’ upgraded, deep dish chicken pies are now available for pickup. Ask any SonShine Servant and they can point you in the right direction.
Men’s Fellowship Breakfast
Sunday January 5th all men are invited to join us for a Men’s Fellowship breakfast of biscuits & coffee at 7:30am in the Children’s Church Room #101 which will include a short devotional focused on Godly men. Donations to help with the biscuits are appreciated. Men are encouraged to bring their sons and other young men to join us. Come and get to know your brothers in Christ and be blessed!
December Mission Highlight – Cordero de Dios
Cordero de Dios is serving the Winston Salem community while engaging and encouraging others through a life- changing journey. Their mission is to nurture a diverse and welcoming community. They are committed to following fearlessly wherever God is leading them and to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of Winston Salem and the world! Cornerstone supports Cordero de Dios through prayer, fellowship, and monthly support.
New Canaan Society of Davie
All men are invited to come to the Davie County New Canaan Society meeting this Thursday at 7am at 801 Southern Kitchen. This is a Christian fellowship for men where men share their personal testimony and prayer. For more information, see Jay Abernethy.
Youth News – Wednesdays – 6:30pm
Storehouse for Jesus needs includes Cereal, Saltine Crackers, Canned Meat, Canned Fruit, Canned Soup. Other items needed: Any kitchen, bath, baby items and clothing of all sizes. Place your donations in the labeled bin next to the Lost and Found. A Storehouse for Jesus is also in need of volunteers. SUNDAY SCHOOL – Where Faith & Life Connect
Join us for Sunday School at 9am offering the following classes:
For Adult
- Theology Class (Room 102) Answering the hard questions from a Biblical perspect
- Get Connected – (Theater) Looking at life issues from a Biblical persp
- Men’s Bible Study – (Library) Returning Feb. 4th. Digging into the book of Philippians.
- Soul Sisters – (Room 120) Women’s Support Group
For Youth – Middle School & High School In the Noiz Youth room #122
For Children – Grades K to 5th Resuming their journey through the Bible with the New Testament in room #109
Nursery available during Worship only (at 10am)
