Mid-Week Bible Study Resumes
Mid-Week Bible Study for adults resumes Wednesday, September 4th from 6:30 to 7:30pm in room 101. A Zoom option is also available for those who wish to join us from home. Come and explore the Word with us.
Men’s Fellowship Breakfast
Sunday, September 8th (postponed due to Labor Day holiday) all men are invited to join us for a Men’s Fellowship breakfast of biscuits & coffee at 7:30am in the Children’s Church Room #101 which will include a short devotional focused on Godly men. Donations to help with the biscuits are appreciated. Men are encouraged to bring their sons and other young men to join us. Come and get to know your brothers in Christ and be blessed!
Don’t Plan Lunch, Dine with Us
September 15th right after Morning Worship, the youth will host a Baked Potato Lunch Fundraiser. Donations will be accepted to cover this delicious meal with a large baked potato and all the fixing. All donations will go to the cost of Snowbird Summer Camp or other youth activities. Please stay and join us for lunch.
A Tabernacle Experience – Messiah’s Mansion
On Sunday, September 15th we have the opportunity to experience ancient history together through a tour of the Hebrew Tabernacle. We are gathering on the grounds of Mocksville Seventh-day Adventist Church (407 Milling Rd, Mocksville, 27028) at 1:30pm. The free tour begins at 1:45pm. Carpooling is strongly recommended as there is limited parking available. Don’t miss this once in a lifetime experience.
Ladies Brunch
Our 3rd Annual Ladies Brunch is Saturday, September 28th from 10am – 12pm. Susan Utsey is our returning guest speaker. Come join us and bring a friend for a wonderful time together. Please RSVP (including food allergies) by September 15th to Beth Keville at abkeville@yahoo.net or 336-477-4595.
Monthly Bible Study
We will resume our monthly bible study at 10am on Thursday, September 12th. You are invited to join us at Cornerstone in the Children’s Church room. Come and dig into the Word of God with us.
Good News Club
In September, Cornerstone will again sponsor the Good News Club at Mocksville Elementary. Please contact Karen Harrison (336-817-7461) if you would like to help reach children in our community for Christ.
You can Help and Learn!
Friday, September 13th at 9am the SonShine Servants are making Chicken Pies. (Yeah!) You are invited to help in this process. Come enjoy the fellowship while you learn how a true Moravian Chicken Pie is made.
Mission Highlight – Fellowship of Christian Athletes
FCA – Joey Yokeley – Area Director
FCA- Sam & Hannah Ehst – Area Reps
FCA is a community working to see the world transformed by Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes. Their goal is to see every coach and athlete enter a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His church. FCA seeks to make disciples through engaging, equipping and empowering coaches and athletes to know and grow in Christ and lead others to do the same. We support Joey Yokeley as area director and Sam & Hannah Ehst as area representatives in their ministry with Fellowship of Christian Athletes through prayer and monthly support.
New Canaan Society of Davie
All men are invited to come to the Davie County New Canaan Society meeting this Thursday at 7am at 801 Southern Kitchen. This is a Christian fellowship for men where men share their personal testimony and prayer. For more information, see Jay Abernethy.
Community Event – Davie Pregnancy – Annual Fall Benefit
Davie Pregnancy invites you to join them for their Annual Fall Benefit on Tuesday, September 12th at Calvary West in Advance. Doors open at 6pm, desserts and coffee will be served at 6:30. Guest Speaker Daniel Ritchie. For more information call 336-753-4673.
Youth News – Wednesdays – 6:30pm
Storehouse for Jesus needs includes Cereal, Saltine Crackers, Canned Meat, Canned Fruit, Canned Soup. Other items needed: Any kitchen, bath, baby items and clothing of all sizes. Place your donations in the labeled bin next to the Lost and Found. A Storehouse for Jesus is also in need of volunteers. - Theology Class (Room 102) Answering the hard questions from a Biblical perspect
- Get Connected – (Theater) Looking at life issues from a Biblical persp
- Men’s Bible Study – (Library) Returning Feb. 4th. Digging into the book of Philippians.
- Soul Sisters – (Room 120) Women’s Support Group

For Children – Grades K to 5th Resuming their journey through the Bible with the New Testament in room #109
